Sporting this slogan, LT LAHNTECHNIK—provider of individual machine and process cooling systems—showcased itself at the trainee fair in Lahnstein on September 27, 2022. Around 600 school students from five different schools in the Rhine-Lahn district visited the trade fair. Some 40 companies from the entire region were on site to provide information about apprenticeships and training as well as job and career opportunities. And who better to do this job than Wilhelm Schalburg and Björn Joch? Wilhelm Schalburg completed an apprenticeship at LAHNTECHNIK as a “mechatronics technician for cooling technology”. As a former apprentice, this put him in a good position to answer questions about technical training and future prospects in cooling technology and to report on his own experiences. It was precisely the combination of manual work with a higher degree of specialization and the use of state-of-the-art technology that persuaded him to opt for an apprenticeship at LAHNTECHNIK. As Technical Director of LT duotemp (a subsidiary of LT LAHNTECHNIK), Björn Joch was representing a company primarily specializing in the planning and production of products for the automotive industry. As a long-standing employee and absolute professional in cooling technology, he was also able to give many a student valuable tips about career opportunities and prospects. There was a lot of interest at the exhibition stand, as the students will have to decide on an apprenticeship next year. To make the decision easier, we offer internships to enable school students to gain an insight into the productive world of work at LAHNTECHNIK and a taste of the various professions. We look forward to meeting new people and hopefully welcoming some of them as apprentices in our company in August 2023.
